What does this mean? For starters, it means I have several more hours of therapy ahead of me to untangle it all. But ultimately, it means my head is at war with my heart. My head feels safe and appreciated in my 6-year-long, healthy relationship with the man I know I will spend the rest of my life with. My heart sings a different tune. My heart has witnessed all my closest friends grow up, like get married and buy houses within the same year of each other…

I have been bopping in and out of varying industries for the past couple of years and have gotten little satisfaction from it. I am simply collecting “relevant” resume boosters like seashells at this point. Recently, I have decided to enter the gig economy as a creative. Each day I feel more fulfilled than the last. January is a time of reflection for most, me included. This isn’t a new concept; but for whatever reason, January 2019 got my 23-year-old brain racing.
